Room temp, thrice re-heated coffee
9:52am. Long natural nails, unpainted. At this point, they get in the way of typing, so that I have to be more purposeful, slower when typing so I can select the proper keys. I can only attribute the growth to a healthier diet recently. I will keep them long for a little while, or until they break. I want desperately to paint them in a nice summer blueish-green. I had them painted in a deep red, and it felt very witchy and ugly. That color came off immediately the next day.
I watched the film adaptation of A Song of Lunch … it was painful to watch, yet I couldn't look away. It was only 45 minutes long, but the poetry was seductive, so it took me about 4 or 5 times to finish watching it. I would watch, pause, rewind and re-watch after distractions. I needed to hear and see all of it. I'd only recommend to my literary friends, really. It's not something I'd dare ask my husband to even attempt to watch. Unfortunately, the British tone has affected my writing style in my head, so I'm trying to work through it as I type now. I find it quite funny (insert laughing emoji with the tears).
I should go make the bed, walk the dog, search for paintings to put on the schedule, decide on what's for lunch. It will be a longer day than usual … pottery shop from 11-7pm, and then a 2-hour paint class. I wasn't looking forward to the paint class, only because I wasn't prepared for it - they signed up last minute, so I thought I'd be cancelling the class. Instead, I thanked my higher power and used the money to rent a car for tomorrow's adventures … if the rain holds out, a beach morning/afternoon with my husband; and later in the day, painting a logo mural on the wall of CafĂ© Paris in Metuchen.
Late last night, I set up the canvas and paints - got it all ready so that I could paint the master sample painting for tonight's class. Not a fun, easy thing to do while I'm simultaneously sipping on my first cup of coffee. I typically like to drink my coffee fresh, hot, while reading my daily prayers and meditations. Instead, I sipped on room-temp, thrice reheated, bitter coffee-flavored water. I will stop at the donut shop on my way to work and try out the mushroom coffee everyone's been raving about.

Wishing you a wonderful day, full of gratitude! Off to walk the dog ...
